Creating a television spectacular set almost entirely out of changeable visual elements was the design for this year’s MuchMusic Video Awards. Designer Michael (Spike) Parks called for two 34' high visual presentation screens as well as a 32' high by 75' wide electronic backdrop. MIDNITE HOUR Productions created the 34' high screens using 72 Visualed ST-18P , 18mm LED panels each. The backdrop was realized with Martin LC Panels .
The stage floor was Plexi-stage, under lit with video media presented on Martin LC Panels . The stage centre-piece comprised 115 Barco MiTRIX tiles in a 12' circle. Several hundred Alkalite Octostrips were used all over the stage.
On the John Street side-stage, four Visualed ST-18P video presentation towers (20 tiles each, 2 high x 10 wide), 21 Chromlech JARAG blinders and a Barco FLM HD20 projector completed the spectacle.
